Josh Hendrix got his start in the service industry by working in hotels in Atlanta, GA. Motivated by the desire to please others with his unique and personal creations; he made a commitment to a life behind the bar. Without a mentor or professional guidance, Hendrix passionately sought out information to further his spirits education through hours of research, reading and experimenting. By taking notes from his guests and industry peers, he honed his talents and his palette. His style of bartending is self-described as purposeful and elegant. Every move, shake, and stir is carefully thought through and executed with surgical precision. It is a style that is romantic and derived from his desire to exceed expectations with every opportunity.


Now an award winning bartender and industry leader, Hendrix has been instrumental in the development of cocktail programs and staff education, an active mentor to apprentices, and a U.S.B.G. officer (V.P.) & active member since 2012. His recent personal accolades include Top 4 finalist in the National Bacardi legacy competition, first place in the U.S.B.G. N.TX Campari competition, and fourth place in the U.S.B.G. TX Regionals Four Roses competition. Hendrix received top honors in notable team competitions, including Food and Wine National Best New Bars US 2013, Dallas Morning News Best Cocktails 2013, D Magazine Best Cocktails 2013, Dallas Observer Best Cocktails 2013, Eater National Top 30 Bars, and Zagat National Hottest Bar 2013.


Since living in Dallas Hendrix has worked at some of the top bars and restaurants in his community starting @ the Sheraton Hotel in 2008, Eddie V’s from 2009-11, Opening bar manager @ Sundown @Granada from 2011-13, Bar Smyth 2013, The Standard Pour 2013-14, Proof and Pantry 2014-2015 before accepting a position w/ Moët/Hennessy as the Dallas Mixologist Ambassador for Hennessy Cognacs and Belvedere Vodkas.
