Chef Juan Orocio joins the team at 4R Winery and Vineyards with years of culinary and fine dining experience, skill and expertise.


Juan will be graduating from Grayson County College in 2017 with an associate’s degree in culinary arts, as well as Associate’s degree in hospitality management. Juan spent 6 years as an apprentice and 3 years as Head chef to Elm Creek Manor Luxury Bed and Breakfast in muenster Tx. During his tenure at Elm Creek, Juan developed a passion for French cuisine and cooking techniques. Chef Juan has also worked for restaurants in Dennison Tx, Gunter Tx, Denton Tx, and DFW.


With a goal of tasting his way through the local dining scene, Juan is immersed in North Texas flavors as well as its unique and highly multicultural, highly competitive dining scene. "One of the first things I set out to do was to meet as many suppliers as possible," he says, delighting in the abundance of choice available in North Texas, including various types of meats, produce and vegetables that have set him in the farm-to- table movement in motion.
